Thanks JSD and I will have to check out that book, Travels as well. I remember when I read Jurassic Park long ago it was better than the movie. Chrichton is was a bad ass. Imagine having an MD from Harvard Medical School but instead just becoming one of the most successful authors in the world instead.

I’m super excited that your wife is joining you on your non-workingish adventures. That’s awesome, I can’t wait to hear about how that changes things. My wife still works, and I’m looking forward to when she decides to join me. Selfishly, I’m hoping to learn from you about the benefits and challenges of the transition.😉
It seems the stories we tell ourselves do help shape our reality; that’s something I try to keep in mind to prevent me from defaulting to a negative mindset. Have you read Michael Crichton’s nonfiction book Travels? He talks about this concept of telling ourselves stories to frame our world, and I thought his perspective was useful.

Thank you for your transparency. Especially around your battle with cancer. I can’t imagine what you and your family went through the past year but glad to see you looking better. Also love all the trip pictures!

Awwe thanks Dominic. For developing the test and for the kind words 😉 Congrats on the trail marathon! I top out at around 8-10 miles these days before my double knee surgeries start to limit me but like you said I was glad I did at least one longer run before hand while I was able.

That is amazing that you are running again. You’re story was part of the reason I decided to run my first marathon a few weeks ago. I knew that my body could do this now, but who knows what will happen in the future. I love running too, but I had never run that far before. I didn’t want to be dying and say that I was a runner but never ran a marathon once because I was scared. Now I have that achievement. Not only a marathon, but a trail marathon in the mountains between 8,000 and 9,000 feet of elevation.

Glad to see you are doing better and really living life.
